Ernesto

Ernesto — or Ernie, as those of us who loved him from the very first moment call him — is a joyful little griffon.
The kind of dog you’re used to seeing in loving homes: sleeping peacefully on soft beds, cuddled up with children, with eyes full of trust. And truly, this is exactly his character.

But life didn’t treat him that way. He was found in the countryside, injured, attacked by packs, alone and asking for help with whatever strength he had left. A dog born to be social, happy, to “shine” — something that simply doesn’t fit the harsh reality of life on the streets. We were asked to help — and we stepped in. We brought him to Athens without a second thought. Because Ernesto fought for this chance — and never stopped believing he could be saved.
Today, Ernesto is with us. He is safe. He is happy. He is gentle. He gets along wonderfully with other female dogs, is very clean in his space, excellent on the leash, and above all, he deeply loves people — cuddles, closeness, and human presence. Ernesto asked us to save him. We did.
