SPAZ (Society for the Protection of Stray Animals), in collaboration with Axion Hellas and with the support of SeaJets, completed last weekend 83 very important cat spay and neuter procedures (27 in Skopelos and 56 in Alonissos), as well as one eye removal surgery and the repair of a lower jaw fracture.
This week, it continues its efforts with the equally important educational animal welfare program “Paws at School,” where primary school students, as well as teachers, are informed about animals—both stray and owned. This is a unique opportunity for them to develop their emotional intelligence and enrich their education through a lesson of love and respect for animals, as well as for their fellow human beings.
After all, only if we “plant” the seed of compassion for animals in children’s hearts can we truly cultivate respect for life.
