Alekos is probably one of the oldest dogs at SPAZ. We’re not sure how old he is because, sadly, the people who abandon elderly dogs on the street don’t leave a note with their story.
He doesn’t see or hear very well anymore, but his ability to love is as strong as ever. He’ll rub against you like a cat, loves his walks, and enjoys his meals with gusto.
He waits patiently to be let out of his kennel for a bathroom break and spends his time alone napping on soft blankets. It’s cozy, but it’s not the same as a real home.
We’re searching for a loving home for Alekos to spend his golden years—a safe haven where he can enjoy the best of what life has to offer. He’s still strong and full of life, but it’s heartbreaking to think his last chapter might be spent in a kennel.
Alekos gets along with other dogs, as long as they don’t pester him too much—he likes his peace and quiet.
