Laura Simpson founded The Great Animal Rescue Chase and The Harmony Fund and chose 16 animal welfare groups from around the world to raise money for; SPAZ was very lucky to be one of them. Good News! The Harmony Fund – The Great Animal Rescue Chase, has announced it’s June donations – $3,000 to each of its 17 charities which they help support around the world. SPAZ is honoured to be one of them and thanks organizer Laura Simpson from the bottom of our hearts. The Harmony Fund actually donated almost 5000 Euros to SPAZ in the summer of 2012, to help us deal with the every-increasing number of abandoned animals, made worse by the financial crisis in our country. Thank you Harmony Fund for our generous support.
In November 2012, The Great Harmony Fund took part in the Chase Bank annual funding drive for charities; the winners are decided by the number of votes they get from the public. SPAZ members solicited votes from friends and supporters to help The Great Harmony Fund; as did the other 25 international charities they support. As a result, they got enough votes to win $50,000 which they divided among the groups. SPAZ received $2,000. Thanks to everyone who sent in their votes and many thanks to The Great Harmony Fund for generously sharing this with us. SPAZ cannot thank founder LAURA SIMPSON enough for including SPAZ in her group of charities. It is indeed a wonderful gift for SPAZ.
